Top left: Creating the palette for extrusion into a walnut bowl turned by Blair.
Top right: Blair masks the inlay area off with tape so that the polymer clay can bond directly with the raw wood. Above: I use wood glue to promote the bond between the polymer and the wood. Above right: Blair's hands-free firing station. Wind the turntable and let it rotate for 15 minutes. Now for sanding and buffing the polymer and the final sanding and finish on the bowl. |
