"People's Choice" voting has begun on the Bead Dreams competition held in conjunction with the Bead and Button Conference next week. This work by Karen Swiech is entry 21 in the polymer section. I used this picture to see if anyone can tell me more about Karen Swiech. Anyone?

Winners will be announced during the conference. Thanks to Ronna Weltman for the heads-up.

Karen’s entry # is actually #21. My piece, pear in bloom is #12. I know Karen from our local guild, and I would not want to take any votes intended for her work!

I have known Karen for quite some time. She was a member of the Burlington Guild and is now a member of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Polymer Clay Guild. She lives in Metro West an area outside of Boston and her work is phenomenal.

Karen is the co-chairperson of the Lexington ,MA Polymer Clay Guild. She has created many beautiful pieces in polymer clay. Her present collection that includes quite a few different styles of polymer clay purses , vessels and focal beads,is very impressive. Her work will be featured in an exhibit of “Polymer Clay Art “, this Oct. at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Gallery. Karen also teaches a class on polymer clay vessels. I will ask her to get in touch with you so that you can feature more of her exquisite craft.

Karen is a member in our Lexington Arts and Crafts Guild (LACS)in Lexington Ma. Her work is exceptional. I am the proud owner of one of her first beautiful purses shown at our guild gallery. I enjoy showing my purse to many so they can appreciate her creativity.
Our next Gallery Show will have more of her pieces in October 2006.
