A final not-so-scarey Halloween tribute from Kathy Penovich. Her needle-felted bat and cocoon characters with polymer clay faces look as cute as the kids on my porch last night.

Kathy Penovich did a fine job using the bat molds created by Kathy Davis. Kathy Davis’ molds and felted critters tutorials are available through her etsy site. Kathy Davis’s site is KathnDolls.

Kathi is the best! She taught a polymer and Bronzclay workshop for our polymer Guild, Clayville California, last month. It was wildly successful and loads of fun to see her creations in the flesh, uh, I mean clay, metal, and felt!

Kathy is one talented sculptor and a very nice lady. Those of us in the Orange County Polymer Clay Guild are always charmed by her creations. I’m the proud owner of a Kathy Davis hatching sea turtle and two dragons. Kathy has a cd on her Esty site which you how to make your own critters with lots of personality. It’s not to be missed. Just buy it for yourself as a Christmas gift.

I also write to tell you that the Nepalese project, about which you wrote in May, now has a website, http://acolourfuljourney.com/. Not entirely complete, in that the Online Shop has yet to be installed, but it does much to explain the project and products.
