Davis’ studio tour

Vermont’s Marie Davis takes viewers on a walk through her studio for a Friday treat. Many of her works are large wall pieces created from canes. She’s been working in polymer since 1987 and you can tell that she still delights in the medium.

I’ve taken the liberty of editing one of her studio tours to make it manageable for PCDaily. My edited version is show here at the top of the right column. Visit her YouTube site for the full treatment.

Marie’s work is absolutely stunning. I have had the pleasure of seeing it in person many times here in Vermont. I am in absolute awe of the detail of her canes and the quality of her finished work.

Marie is one of the best kept secrets in the polymer clay world. Her work was one of the inspirations for me getting involved in polymer myself. Her work is so incredibly detail and she doesn’t start her canes out huge and then reduce them. Her initial canes are actually created on a much smaller scale then most of us are used to.
I am so happy that you have taken the initiative to introduce her wonderful work to our fabulous community!

I would love to spend the day with her in the studio and dream with her on the day bed. She is a work of art herself. She is amazing and so is her work.
