18K love on polymer

Kellberg on PCDaily

Florida’s Sherri Kellberg puts us in a valentines mood with her hearts bracelet. She makes polymer look vintage using layered metallic finishes.

She applies 18K gold leaf to the textured tops and edges of the hearts and stamps love letters on the backs.

Layers of verdigris and turquoise patinas add richness to the metallic effects. Pearls and glass beads wired to the brass chain make the celebration of love jangle.

Sherry, I am so glad you are featured today! Your work on Etsy is marvelous and I was not yet familiar with it! I can’t wait to get some of your tutorials. Amazingly enough, I just treated myself for Christmas to 23 kt gold leaf and had also bought the verdigris embossing, which I made a sample chip of and drooled over. So, you have given me even more inspiration. I just love the eclectic mix of all elements used in this bracelet…especially the brass, which sets the verdigris off beautifully, and the unexpected use of pearls. I would treasure this as a gift anytime of year. Congratulations!
