What would you find if you scooped up a handful from Nikki Zehler’s bead stash? Pyrite? Porcelain? Polymer? If LoveRoot is missing a color or needs more texture she turns to polymer to fill the gaps.

The earrings to the left include chunks of pyrite along with African baule beads. The rusty textured chunks are polymer.

The distressed earring bells to the right? Yep, they’re polymer. The big bead in the bracelet is the only polymer there. Nikki lets her eye guide her, not the material.

I have lusted after one of Nikki’s rings forever and just this year found that she and I are in the same city. She has absolutely melded all the elements into a mix that is unmistakeable and wondrous…great stuff!

What a surprise and an honor to find this very kind feature *blush blush*! I do like to add a nice portion of weathered polymer clay to my artistic diet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Well deserved, Nikki’s work is gorgeous, I “discovered” her one year ago and since then enjoy her newest creations

Gypsy sensibility- that puts it so perfectly! Nikki is an amazing artist, and polymer , as well as all she does, just comes so easily to her. She has a mind to combine things and we all LOVE the outcome!

I own several pieces of her work. Each one is a miniature work of art. Thanks, Cynthia, for helping her get her stuff out there, and kudos to you, Nikki!

I wish I could edit my comment from two months ago. Cynthia, your recognition of Nikki’s work is an honor, one that Nikki well deserves. Nikki, you don’t need any “help”, you and your work are already astonishingly, uniquely wonderful. And you’re just going to get even more so in the years ahead. I’m in awe of you.

Luann – absolutely no apologies necessary! Who can’t use a little (or a lot) of help every now and then? 😉
