An accurate polymer picture…

As a guest blogger, I would like to direct your attention to an issue that affects the polymer community and to offer you the opportunity to have your opinion heard.

The manufacturers are grappling with many issues that center around reformulating polymer and bringing the best product to market. Your response to this comprehensive survey allows you to rank which issues are most important to you. With an accurate picture of our needs manufacturers may make products that suit us better.

Grab your favorite beverage and expect to invest 10 to 15 minutes of your time to answer 40 questions. The responses will be tallied and sent as one document to all the polymer manufacturers. Here’s the survey.

            and although I still use my aging stockpiles of fimo and premo, I only buy new kato polyclay and have done so for the last several years. In addition to the strength of kato polyclay, I appreciate their color line and their reliability–including reliably honest interactions with customers about changes. All three of these things are very important to me.

Was a Premo fan, but their arrogance in discontinuing basic artist colors in deference to “fashion” colors REALLY irritates me. Color studies and formulas that I have become interested in over the last few years are now wasted, except for the experience gained.

                                                                            Consistency of the clay is my major concern for caning. I am considering switching from Kato to Fimo classic.

                                                                              I took the survey. Some questions were tough. I had no idea there were all those publications and also have very little experience of other clays than Kato, Fimo, Premo and Sculpey. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to try and teach using one type and use another myself! It will be fascinating to know the results Lindly. Good on you.

                                                                                                From the very beginning, I have always enjoyed watching the “polymer clay world” grow. Not only the “ART and CRAFT” but all the people too!

                                                                                                The things you all think are important in this survey are really not what it is about. All these same “issues” were brought to Polyform during the development of CFC(Premo) back in the mid 90’s. And it was a total success!

                                                                                                *These are the only questions that are “required” to be answered.

                                                                                                But it sure does feel good to think we are in on telling the manufacturer’s what we want! 😉
                                                                                                Sorry folks, it seems to me that this is just a demographic study on polymer clay for marketing purposes. ” IN MY HUMBLE OPINION” 🙂
