Congrats to Melanie West whose stunning polymer clay Nudibranch BioBangle has been named a finalist in the 2010 Niche Awards. Check out her new anemone bangle too.
Can’t wait to find out who else is in the running. Any rumors out there? Winners will be announced in February.
Italy’s Ariane Freisleben arranged polymer clay beads that float downward in this comfortable design. Enjoy her work and her Euro Clay Carnival results on Flickr.
Ariane’s necklace reminds me of the colorful leaves floating past my window throughout the lazy weekend. It’s Monday. Time to stretch and head back to the studio.
Anke Humpert ,

Rumors? no. Not about The Niche Awards anyway. I never even heard of it before until now. See, this is why I come here. I get introduced to new art and all thing PC.
Congratulations! Melanie, it’s a beautiful piece.
Melanie West ,
Thank you, Cynthia, for the nice Monday morning surprise! 🙂 (And thank you, Anke and Jeannie, for your very nice comments). I can’t wait to see who else made it to the Finals! (Common folks, it really is something to crow about!)
Brava, Ariane! It’s clear you have been having lots of fun playing with alcohol inks – and foil! Don’t stop playing – I love where you’ve been going with it! 🙂
Congrats Melanie – beautiful bangle and well deserved recognition! Love the necklace Ariane and the great alcohol ink poker chips!
Melanie’s new bangles are simply stunning!!! I’m so please to hear she is a Niche finalist. I fell in love with these Nudibranch bangles when you featured them back in August. I visited the Trunkt site and was awe inspired. I hope to find a way to purchase one of these for my collection. I especially loved the Tree Fungi piece. So very Special Melanie…..Congrats!!!!
