The overlapping circles on this pin and pendant by Spain’s Ana Belchi are a mystery, a color illusion which she teaches in a workshop that you can read about here.
Ana will be teaching composition at EuroSynergy where I’m hoping to see her illusions with my own eyes.
She offers some helpful color wheels and shape templates as free downloads on her site.
(Ana created the stick pin for Helen Breil’s book.)

I Love Ana Belchi Creations ^___^
Andrea Victoria Paradiso ,
Beautiful illusions, Ana. Your website is luscious! But I think the Nebulae collection has to be very my favorite. Muchas gracias por los templates…me van a venir muy util! Congratulaciones por aparecer en PCD! (Thank you for the templates…they will be prove to be very useful. Congratulations on appearing on PCT!) Muah!
Helen Breil ,
Ana made several beautiful pieces for my book. Her work is stunning – from the designs to the techniques to the finishing – very inspiring!
Kathy ,
I’m so curious. PCD published the work of an artist who did a plaid a few years ago, and this reminds me of it, but it’s much more complex. I admire the precision, Ana.
Amazing work!
By coincidence I’ve been reading about the vesica piscis (aka mandorla) recently. It has a fascinating history in religious and mystical art.
Margit Böhmer ,
Have a good trip and a good time. I am sure you will come back with many new impressions, I am looking forward to your trip report,
Margit
