This 10″ shallow bowl from Denmark’s Debbie Kronsted (Kronsted Design) is all polymer. Skinner blends with touches of metal leaf are collaged to create the inside of the bowl. She extruded leftovers into strings that cover the back in a coil.
Seattle’s Sarah Wilbanks mixes her media so I’m only guessing that these earrings are polymer. She often starts with translucent and adds metal leaf.
Sarah says the frosty colors of this pair reminded her of winter. The outer strips hang over the underlying cones like a warm sweater.
Go look at her Instagram and see if you can identify her materials. I’m usually irked when artists don’t name their media but in this case, it’s as if the material is beside the point and I’m cool with that.
Wednesday could use some seasonal glitter and British Columbia’s Tina Holden (Beadcomber) provides it with her colorful sparkling leaves. Looks like metal leaf, right?
Usually, she sticks to beach themes that reflect the world around her. But in the fall the leaves put on quite a color show that Tina takes up a notch with inks and glitz.
