Judy Belcher reinterpreted the IPCA logo to make these totally cute polymer earrings. Look at the ad in the right hand column to see the logo.
The earrings are the first PCDaily giveaway! If you comment on this post, you could win Judy’s creations this Saturday and wear them at Synergy.
IPCA’s Synergy conference is only a month away. I’m working on an event at Synergy so that PCD readers can wear their work (I’ll post pictures) and greet their many online friends.
Let’s fill up those Synergy classes and don’t forget the hands-on events. You won’t find a more condensed gathering of master polymer artists than this. Now’s your chance.
Giveaways, events, social media….you might guess that I’m being coached by my savvy young daughter and niece, right? Here’s my reading assignment. I rarely promote non-polymer items but the book, How Not To Act Old, has me in stitches and is changing my behavior. You might enjoy the list.
Pippa Chandler ,
I would so love to be at Synergy – but am in the UK so will have to just wish that I was there and keep up with all the news on here!
The earring are wonderful – what a brilliant idea. Keeping fingers crossed that I might win them!
Thank you!
I have already admired the wonderful new jewelry of Judy this morning in her Flickr and now I see these cute earrings here on PCD.
I’d love to win them.
Bettina ,
hehe, what a nice idea Judy – I love them – hope you made more than one pair for Synergy!!!
Iris Mishly ,
that list is so funny! ๐ thank you Cynthia,
i am so thrilled to meet everyone again in Synergy, counting the days!
Iris.
Judy’s work is amazing!
I’m so excited to be going to Synergy2! Though I’m just a beginner with polymer clay, I’ve been reading a lot and one of the first things I look at every morning is PolymerClayDaily. I love this site. Thanks so much for the wealth of inspiration you provide.
Anita ,
Judy: BRAVA ! You earrings are the PERFECT and “oh so creative” way to interpret the IPCA logo in celebratation of Synergy. Thanks for the give away.
Cynthia:Thanks for the “….act old” book recommendation. We’ll have to see if our library has it.
Rick Sharpe ,
Actually I took offense to the “How to Not Act Old” reference and it’s link. Why do we continually promote a culture that says young is good and old is bad. I don’t even see this inclusion as a bit of fun, it’s insulting.
Janie Zetsch ,
It seems fitting that Judy would be the one to do these earrings :). Cool.
Oh how I wish I could attend Synergy…
I see a pair of Julia Sober’s earrings underneath. Would love to see some more of her work. Is she still claying?
Jeannie ,
I’m A FAN of Judy’s work. I wish I could attend Synergy. Earrings are cool.
Marilyn Davenport ,
Judy is at it again. Love her.
Beth Ackley ,
I am counting the days until Synergy II.
Leave it to Judy to come up with such a great adaptation!
Look forward to seeing everyone at Synergy II!
Kathi ,
Judy is such an awesome woman and artist. thank you for donating for this give away and thank you PCD for doing it, and for featuring wonderful artists and events.
Maureen Carlson ,
I think both you and Judy should get a prize for exemplifying the theme of the Synergy 2 conference: Exploring Connections. Surely the two of you have done an amazing amount of work towards connecting the public with the myriad possibilities – and personalities – of polymer clay. Bravo.
Marlene Brady ,
I’m with Maureen and applaud both you and Judy for keeping the public connected by displaying the work of amazing polymer clay artists and keeping the advancements in polymer clay in the forefront.
Anke Humpert ,
Love those earrings!!! Right my colors…;-)) And I love the idea for this give a way!!!
Love your work Judy. Can’t wait to see more of your work!
Tonja Lenderman ,
You have been given the Sunshine Blog Award for all the inspiration you give us ๐ http://tonjastreasures.com/wordpress/?p=2345
Heather Tinkham ,
This is a great idea! Are there plans to do a PCD set now too? Or would you give permission to use the banner image to make a pair with a transfer of the blog title for that purpose? That could be very cool. We could submit design ideas to you for you to choose. ๐
I’m very excited to be going to Synergy2! I considered one of the hands-on sessions, but the only thing I found in a quick look said you had to contact each instructor independently about enrolling, so there was no easy way to see which sessions still had openings. It would be great if they could put something together to help people know what is available.
Love Judy’s work. The earrings are beautiful. Looks like there will be some great classes at Synergy II. Wish I could be there.
Great post. Love the earrings and will certainly check out the book.
Wish I was going to Synergy. Just not enough vacation days available to do all the things I want to do. Maybe next year I can attend as I plan to be retired then!
Love PCD.. visit EVERY day.
Thanks for sharing.
Oh, that is too cute! I can’t make synergy but I’ll think fondly of you all while I’m at Cabin Fever Clay Fest!
Judy is not only talented, she’s a genuinely nice person. I was lucky to meet her at a Marla Frankenberg workshop in W. Va. What an amazing version of the logo for some lucky winner to wear!

Linda ,
These are the coolest earrings. I would love to win them. I wish I could be a SynergyII but there is no way. Maybe another year. In the mean time I look to people like you to keep me informed of all the great things going on. I love your site and check it everyday. Thanks for do what you do.
Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor ,
Turning the logo into earrings is a very clever idea! Wish I was able to attend Synergy. There are so many of you that I would love to meet in person. So much talent in one place would be exhilarating!

I so wish I could be at this conference – thanks to all who organize it, present at it, teach at it and write about it ! It is inspiring even by osmosis…

Judy Belcher never ceases to amaze me. Wish I could attend. It’s woderful that polymer clay has come so well known and things continue to happen to keep it that way. Have a great time at Synergy.
OMG…Judy is so clever!
Carolyn Good ,
I’m a big fan of Judy Belcher and her work. I was considering attending the Synergy this year (for the first time) but I have a huge show coming up so isn’t possible this time.
