Dayle Doroshow and I created Creative Sparks, a little gem of a book, and it’s time to spread a little holiday cheer with a book giveaway.
To enter, respond to this post with your comment. We’ll choose a winner on Saturday. Did I mention that Sparks is filled with Dayle’s great tricks for keeping your spirits up in the studio?
Looking at so many of your lovely polymer creations makes it hard to hush my inner critic when I get my hands on clay. Dayle’s tips showed me ways to navigate around the obstacles that get in the way of creative joy. I include pictures and comments about my results.
If you’re trying to organize for the new year, check out Laura Balombini’s polymer teapots calendar. She posted about it on Facebook. It’s $20 plus shipping. Write her to order yours.
Helena Ribeiro ,
I´ve alreday read the other post and try to make an order but for some reason it wasn´t possible.
Now i´ll wait till saturday. Anyway i want that amazing book.
For me, with a full time job, some times it´s difficult to work on my bracelets and polymer.
I have many ideas, but no concentration to focus on them when i have the time for it.
Best regards, Helena
I read your face book posts and emails everyday. I get lost in looking at others design work with polymer. I have found my own warm market -but my work is far from that of the long time artists. So your book would help me and I would love to have the help!
Thank you for all the posting you do, I know it is a ton of work! Happy Holidays!

This looks like a perfect New Year’s Resolution book: a way to focus on one’s own creative process (at least that’s MY resolution!). I’m proud to own a pair of Dayle’s earrings myself so I was eager to see anything new she’d done. This book looks like a wonderful mix of inspiration and practical advice. Happy Holidays to you all.
The book looks like it would be a treasure! Thanks for the chance to win a copy of it. Love PCD too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

Me too-me too!! The only thing that I don’t like about your column is that it does not come out on weekends too-(lol) Thanks, Cynthia for my daily dose of PC- its the first place I go every morning. Please don’t ever stop.
Pauli (P-Bijoux) ,
This looks like a very inspiring book!
I’m in desperate need of great tricks for keeping up spirits in my studio ;), so I’m in for the giveaway!

Lynda Moseley ,
What an awesome idea for a book. I would love to have a copy. Congratulations, Cynthia and Dayle!
Marija Vugdelic ,
I have self-taught myself polymer clay work, as where I come from (Montenegro), there is no access to resources, workshops, and there are very few people who know what PC is. And in this pursuit of PC knowledge, this blog has been a constant source of useful information and especially inspitaration! This book seems like PC daily condensed, and would really be something I would treasure and consult while I’m creating!
I really appreciate your efforts to bring the new ideas and information daily. When I “grow up”, I would like to be on your pages 😉
Maureen Carlson ,
Feeling a bit guilty as I know I could just ORDER THE BOOK, but, hey, what fun to be in a drawing with such a great group of enthusiasts!!!!!!!!
I usually don’t win anything but I just want to say that after looing at the preview I WANT this book and think it is wonderful. I’ll buy it anyway.
Ruth Cline ,
I can always use some tips and inspiration. I look forward to reading Creative Sparks.
Pippa Chandler ,
I would love to win this book. Am feeling particularly like I can never face my studio (for that read “desk”) again, after just finishing making enough stock for an 8 day German Style Christmas Market which I start on Saturday in Cirencester here in England. It would be just the thing to lure me back in again at the end of it!!!
Thank you for every wonderful post Cynthia – my daily treat!
I want to win too!!!
The preview looks great. Congratulations on this labor of love.
Thank you for the opportunity. I would love the creative inspiration!
Christine Damm ,
I think this is a fabulous book, Cynthia! If I don’t win it, I’m going to buy one for myself and my sister for Christmas. Thanks for a great piece of inspiration!
Crystal Gourdine ,
Through having a baby & moving I have not been able to set up a new studio. My new year resolution is to pull out all my polymer boxes (why do we require so much stuff), and get back at it…. there is no reason to let life get in the way of creating when creating can improve life…Thank you for PCD. It keeps the little spark in me alive & itching for the day the clay comes out again.
I’d love to have a book that kicks my creativity back in gear! Happy Holidays!!!Thanks!
I just love the class I took with Dayle in Santa Fe many years ago, and PC Daily is where I go every morning for my first dose of inspiration! I especially like the little thumbnails from past issues, and often look at them again. Please keep inspiring us, both of you lovely artists!
Thank you for such a tremendous work you do day after day!!!
Thank you for all you do for our community. This blog has been a great influence in my creative career – seeing all the different kinds of artists who work with polymer clay gives me tons of inspiration. Everyday I look forward to opening up your latest post.
Also, the book looks fantasic.
