Do-over! Returning soon

Since Georg Dinkel has entered the IPCA competition, we’ll have to save his artwork for another day after the people’s choice voting has ended. Neither PCD nor Georg were clear about this rule.

This is an incredible work of Art….a serious work of art! And to think that it also serves a purpose….imagine that! I cannot get over the incredible detail, the patience and gift that Georg has to create this masterpiece. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Oopsie! His work isn’t supposed to be published on line anywhere. It might eliminate him from the competition….. Although Cynthia, everyone knows his artistic voice. I got this email this morning…. “also a reminder to artists whose work is in the competition. It should not appear anywhere until voting is completed (March 1), as the work is supposed to be anonymous.” His work is flat-out amazing.

I was surprised when I saw Georg’s work appear in this post when it is an entry in the IPCAwards. I thought the rules were quite clear that works must not have been published elsewhere (hard copy or on line- Facebook, Pinterest, Etsy or other Website). For this reason I had to omit one of my pieces from my submissions for ‘Polymer Journeys’, as I had entered it in the competition (I even sought clarification from the competition organisers on the matter). Georg’s work is very admirable but the post appeared to be suggesting ‘go vote for him’, which seems unfair to all the other people who have anonymously entered the competition in good faith and followed the rules.

Claire… some peeps don’t read through all the directions. Yes, they were very clear… YET sometimes I will sit at the computer and load software without reading the entire directions. Maybe he entered late and was in a hurry. Mistakes happen…. Besides, his work is so recognizable I don’t think that this post will sway peeps one way or another. So, breathe… it is okay. I commented earlier too. I truly believe that no ‘vote urging’ was intended…. just an appreciative post by Ms. Tinapple.
