It’s beginning to look a lot like ornaments

Carole Monahan's birds make easy designs for your tree on PolymerClayDaily.com

This is our second look at the ornaments that the members of the Connecticut guild (SCPCG) created for a decorated tree competition that benefits the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven.

These cardinals from Carole Monahan are lightweight and stylized. The design requires a few simple flat cutouts of textured clay with extra bits for wings, eye, and beak.

Bake the wire hanger right into the clay.  Easy, peasy and there’s still time to make them!

Thank you so much for this share! These lil birds will be on our guild Southern Connecticut Polymer Clay Guild ‘s Donated Tree of Hope to raise funds for our local Ronald McDonald House in New Haven Ct . I appreciate the guild coverage since I am the new president with Helen Malchow by my side as the guild VP! We have some pretty big shoes to fill from the 2 wonderful leaders ( Diane Villano and Sharon Mahalyak) that have been running this guild for the last 20 years! They are of course BOTH still members! Thanks again for all your hard work!
