More than one way with polymer

Fajardo on PCDaily

No cane slices were combined to create Barb Fajardo’s latest experiment! For this 4″ diameter bowl she’s using her Mandala Flora technique that includes a clever mix of cut and replace plus texture and paint.

It’s a welcome departure from the usual. (Remember her last bowl experiment?) We sometimes forget that with polymer there’s always more than one way to get the results you want. Start a week full of possiblities.

While her site is undergoing a makeover, you can find Barb on Flickr, Pinterest, and Facebook.

Wonderful bowl! Barb is coming to Creative Journey in March to teach her Mandala Flora technique and has promised to discuss her bowl techniques. There are still a few spots available.

Barb has always had such a distinctive style–love what she does with simple geometry. And a fabulous teacher, too!

Dear Randee, thanks so much. I hope we can get together again one day. You are tons of fun and a wonderful artist and author!

Oh Cynthia! May I say that as a working artist, that I am propelled to perfect a technique when my prototype is good enough to show on PCD. You are the best 🙂 Hope to have another bowl finished to take to show and explain the process at Creative Journey Studios in March…Also hope to have my new website up soon…expect a new clean design!
